“30 Books Ahead of Schedule”

Hey y’all! I finished The Noh Family by Grace K Shim today and when I marked it on Goodreads, I got this notification:

WAH! Already?!

Oh, okay, so I’m 30 books ahead of schedule if I were reading one a week. Which is kind of baffling to think I’m reading more than one a week, but I guess I do tend to read multiple books at once. Anyway! Since it’s about halfway through the year anyway, I figured I’d see what some of the trends in my reading are right now and compare at the end of the year to see if anything changes. 😊

The Numbers

  • 52 books read
  • 20,208 pages
  • Top 3 moods: emotional, adventurous, reflective
  • Top 3 genres: fantasy, young adult, romance
  • Average rating: 3.2
  • Average Page Number: 300 – 499 (61%)
  • 58% digital format
  • 17% nonfiction

The Details

  1. Congrats on reaching your goal early! I’m a handful of books ahead of schedule too, but I’m not nearly as far ahead as that. 😉 I love the StoryGraph stats breakdown, and I’ll be curious to see if you notice changes over the second half of the year!

    1. Yeah I guess I read a lot more than I expected to. Now I’ll focus on other goals like challenges and reading diversity! Long books, nonfiction, all that stuff. We’ll have to compare at the end of the year!~

      1. I’m super curious to see if the focus on different goals (instead of book count) changes the types of books you read, or the book length or whatever. I know that I tend to read shorter books at the end of the month to boost my monthly reading numbers… 😉
