Happy 1 year blogging anniversary to me! ๐ŸŽ‚

Alright y’all, I’ve got something to celebrate! A few things, actually, which is really nice these days.

I’ve been blogging here for over a year now. OVER A YEAR.

This might seem paltry to some people (like those who just celebrated their ninth year of blogging…) but for me this is huge. I had tried blogging before, and specifically about books, and I just did not keep up with it. I’m also terrible in general at doing things every day (which is why my success with my 365 photo project was also a big deal for me). So, yes, for me this is a big exciting deal!

I also have to laugh when I look back at last year when I started compared to now, a year later. Not only because the world looks very different, but because my blogging habits do too. Wildly so. Let’s share that laugh, shall we?

What I learned from daily blogging for 6+ months

I learned that I will put in the work for something I ultimately love, even on the days when I really don’t feel like it. ๐Ÿ’ช

I learned that I somehow read more even when giving time to blogging. ๐Ÿ“š

I learned that I can do something daily and commit to it. ๐Ÿ“†

I learned that there’s a whole community of others working on the same thing to draw support and inspiration from. โค

I learned that I can be creative when I have a topic I’m excited about. โœ

I learned a lot about domains and the rules around owning some internet — like the importance of keeping my info private on WhoIs. ๐Ÿ•ต๏ธโ€โ™€๏ธ

I learned that I will probably never shut up about books and reading. ๐Ÿ˜

Thanks y’all โค

Probably wouldn’t still be doing this without the conversations I get to have with y’all at your blogs/bookstagrams and here on my own as well. I’m not the first to praise this community, but I’m going to do it anyway! ^.^
