Unlike Throwback Thursday, I’m using Fridays to look ahead to books publishing soon that I’m excited for! Darling Rose Gold is one that I’ve had on my list for a while, and have definitely entered (and not won) many giveaways for.

Why wait on this one?
- The premise is fascinating to start – the daughter believed she had a series of crippling health problems for the majority of her life, until it’s revealed that her mother was faking it all (somehow?). The book takes place in the After period, and looks like it’ll be focusing around revenge plots and scheming.
- The cover intrigues me. You don’t have to judge a book by the cover, but the cover can give you clues. The way Rose Gold is written to look like it’s straining against skin or wallpaper to push to the front is just disturbing enough to intrigue me. I’ll try to overlook the butterfly.
